Ive never undergone such a proceedure however when you hear of one it does not sound very pleasant. I find it Funny that allot of psychiatrists love to send people to this "therapy" well knowing the repercussions of such treatment. This tends to show their lack of intelligence on the matter as they have not had a treatment themselves most likely. While the treatment supposedly has some success it still seems very dangerous last thing you need is to come out like a Vegetable becuase some one screwed up.
I personally see it as a doctor's legalized Torture session. I'm not the torture type, no need to make some one suffer for the hell of it.

LOL I agree it is a legal way of torture and as you said I am sure they have not ever had one , if they had I am sure they would think twice before sending someone to have it done..

I agree. I think shock therapy shouldn't have ever even be a choice. Back then though, loosely fitting doctors thought that this method was helpful. I don't see how it was useful though.
